Starr Family Ukraine Support Fund: Paypal, not tax-deductible
To meet the urgent needs of some of our personal friends in Ukraine and their communities we set up a Starr Family Ukraine Support Fund. We have dispersed over $5,000 of aid already through our fundraising, with your help before we set up this fund. We did so to get food to a community in Ukraine where a friend’s family lives and to purchase 25 sets of military grade winter clothing and radio transmitters/ walkie talkies. The latter will be shared by 400 and 600 civilians respectively in new “Territorial Defense” and army units. The mother, father and sister of a student friend of ours, Viktoriia, are in these units that will share these supplies. Due to the large numbers of civilians that suddenly enlisted, many units have been lacking these and other forms of protective gear including helmets and first aid. (These donations are not tax deductible.)
