Help Raise $5,000 to help Mykhalio Puryshev’s Team Open a New Warming Center in the Luhansk Region.
Mykhailo Puryshev, a former nightclub owner and entrepreneur in Mariupol is a volunteer who organizes teams to help civilians trapped in combat zones. He first attracted national (and international) attention for taking six trips into to Russian-occupied Mariupol, Ukraine to evacuate hundreds of people. This winter he and several teams of volunteers from Kyiv are setting up “invincible warming points” in frontline communities starting first in the devastated city of Bakhmut.
In this interview on Ukrainian TV, Puryshev explains the services they are providing there and the conditions on the ground. Roughly 15,000 civilians – adults and families with children- have been sheltering in their basements in Bakhmut with no access to electricity, heat, water, or internet. With current temperatures averaging 26-30 Fahrenheit, lack of warmth is an issue of life or death, especially for people with critical health conditions. The Puryshev team’s warming centers provide heating, food, water, electricity, Starlink internet and medicines, medical care and medical transportation. Their volunteers also help evacuate residents.
Bring warmth together with Mykhailo’s team by donating to this fundraiser! Goal is to raise $5,000 to open their second warming center.
